Betrayed by many
Backed towards an inferno
In it, I fell like a log
Like a dry bark, I caught fire
Excruciating pain shoots through me
I burn into ashes
I burn nearly to nothing
The raging fire is no more.
With a burst of my last strength
I spark the ember
Signaling hope, signaling life
A new serge of energy envelopes me
I rise from the ashes like a phoenix
Stretching out my body
New life flows in my veins
I am whole once again
Ready to conquer.
And just with your twist of words my hope to rise is restored
